Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

In 2023, the Council of the Municipality of North Perth adopted a Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism Charter and established the North Perth Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee.

About the DEI Advisory Committee

North Perth’s DEI Advisory Committee was established in May 2023. The mandate of the DEI Advisory Committee is to provide North Perth Council feedback, guidance, and support to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Municipality of North Perth.

The Committee is comprised of a diverse mix of community members, and a Council representative and is supported by designated municipal staff.

The Committee has adopted the mission to “Identify and eliminate barriers to the Municipality’s programs, services, and policies to make North Perth a community that is inclusive, where residents, businesses, and visitors feel welcome and are engaged.”

Hearing your stories, experiences, ideas, and concerns will help the Committee identify and implement initiatives and solutions that achieve our mission to make North Perth a community that is inclusive, welcoming, and engaging.
