Truck by-pass
It is time to create a truck bypass to get the commercial traffic out of the downtown and ease traffic congestion. From Highway 86 East heading west to connect to Highway 23 South: all commercial trucks not delivering products within the confines of the Town of Listowel should bypass at Tremaine South to Line 84 to connect with Highway 23 South and further to Road 166 to connect back to Highway 86 West. From Highway 86 East heading west to connect to Highway 23 North: all commercial trucks not delivering products with the confines of the Town of Listowel should bypass at Road 157 to Line 87 to connect with Highway 23 North and further to Road 165 to connect to back Highway 86 west.

Library, public skating, public swims open late for youth. Thinking 9pm-11pm

Tennis club
Would love to see a tennis club, or even organized get togethers. I love tennis but none of my family members or friends do.

Truck bypass, Low income housing and Indoor aquatics center!
The truck bypass issue has been going on for DECADES and it's time there is something to be done about it. The concern of it affecting the downtown businesses is irrelevant, it wont be affected. People will shop when they want to. Secondly.. An indoor aquatics center! Our current outdoor pool is far past its prime and we have a BRAND NEW glorified ice rink with ample space and growth to hold a pool, etc.. Another concern is the urban sprawl. It is taking up natural wetlands and swamps, good farmland as well. We are inviting in a lot of new people, and without proper amenities... they wont stick around and the housing market will crash here. What we NEED is low income housing. It seems like this topic always gets swept under the rug when it surfaces. We need to put our feet down when it comes to others digging their heels in.
