Consultation has concluded
The Municipality of North Perth is working with consultants, SHIFT Landscape Architecture to explore park developments of two existing parks in Wallace. These two spaces include Optimist Park at 6067 Line 87, and Ward Park (previously referred to as Crayton Park) at 8682 Crayton Street.
Public Consultation #1 (April 2023)
The first phase of public consultation took place in April 2023. Precedent imagery was presented to the public to inspire and show some conceptual possibilities of park features, elements, and activities that could happen in the park. A survey was conducted during this first phase to collect feedback.
The feedback received in Public Consultation #1 established that Optimist Park will concentrate specifically on a playground revitalization.
Public Consultation #2 (Current)
The project is now in the second phase of public consultation. This phase of consultation includes only Ward Park.
The project team has created two preliminary concept designs for Ward Park (shared below on this page) that were developed based on the feedback received in the first phase of public consultation. At this stage, the designs are high-level and presented as a starting off point to hear your thoughts and opinions. Once you have had a chance to review the preliminary concepts displayed, please fill out the survey at the bottom of the page to comment on your preferred concept and why it appeals to you. The feedback from this phase of consultation will be used to further refine the concept and inform design decisions.
Thank you for taking the time to engage with this project.
