Consultation has concluded

The trial one way block on Wallace Avenue South has now been established, the municipality wants to monitor traffic in summer and fall conditions through August and September. As you may know, the trial involves extended timing in the East/West and Southbound traffic movement of the intersection by removing the Northbound movement. This trial is considered a shorter term solution to downtown congestion in the core of Listowel, other long term options are being recommended through the Transportation Master Plan.

    Business Feedback - One Way Block Trial on Wallace Avenue South

    The Municipality of North Perth wants to gather information from businesses in the core of Listowel regarding the one way block trial on Wallace Avenue South. 

    As you may know, the trial has involved extended timing at the East/West and southbound traffic movements at the intersection by removing the northbound movement on Wallace South. 

    The trial is considered a shorter term solution to downtown congestion in the core of Listowel and it impacts vehicular traffic, pedestrians and parking in the core of Listowel. Long term options are being recommended through the Transportation Master Plan.

    The deadline to complete this survey is October 1, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.
    Survey results will be shared at an upcoming virtual Public Information Centre date to be confirmed.
